2012 Paralympic Games – Sophie Wells – Equestrian – Team

Exchequergate, Lincoln

Wells is a British equestrian rider who was born with a congenital disorder called spina bifida. Despite this, she has had a successful career in para-equestrian, winning multiple gold medals and world champion titles in the Paralympic Games and other international competitions.

At the 2012 Paralympics, Wells competed in the Team event, which is a competition where riders from the same country compete together in a dressage test. Wells along with her team-mates, was able to secure a gold medal in the event, showing that even with a physical disability, she was still able to compete at the highest level of the sport.
